Financial controller

Permanent – Full time

Job description:

Located in the heart of Montréal, Enovum Datacenters is a company well established in our business community. Having recently launched a datacenter we are looking for a financial controller motivated to join our team. The candidate will have the challenge to build a cohesive and inclusive finance team that will serve our current and future needs as we’re growing rapidly.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare wage payments and manage social benefits. Handle all the administrative communications with various agencies
  • Prepare yearly financial reports and discuss it with upper management staff
  • Prepare monthly internal reports including KPI analysis and take care of the general ledger reconciliation
  • Assist the management team with other special projects be it implementing new systems or procedures
  • Coordinate with the external audit firms for our yearly audits
  • Build, supervise, direct and manage the tasks of the accounting department and ensure it’s continuous growth and development
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, procedures and business systems
  • Assist in the management of our treasury

Necessary qualifications:

  • Being a member of the CPA order with 1 or more years of experience as a financial controller
  • Knowledge of the ASPE – Accounting standards for private enterprises
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian laws regarding taxation and revenues
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office work suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Site Operations Assistant – Greater Montreal Area, QC

Permanent – Full time

Job Description:

We’re looking for Site Operations Assistants to support our Facility Managers with the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of the building and its systems for our data center in St-Jerôme and our future data center in Point-Claire. This role combines hands-on site support, system monitoring, contractor coordination, and compliance tasks to ensure the environment remains safe, secure, and prepared for data-center operations.

The position requires attention to detail, and consistent adherence to operational and safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

· Support data center facility operations through continuous daily monitoring of environmental and support systems, as well as coordination of maintenance activities — including managing relationships with on-site contractors and ensuring cleanliness and organization of all work areas.

· Perform periodic walkthroughs to identify anomalies or risks, prepare detailed reports, and escalate issues according to established protocols.

· Manage site access control and security, ensuring adherence to all applicable security policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and regulatory procedures, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of operations by participating in the development and enhancement of standardized operational procedures.

 

Experience and qualifications required:

· Strong knowledge of facility systems (cooling, power, UPS, backup generators, fuel systems) an asset.

· Experience with SOC2 or other compliance frameworks an asset.

· Basic construction experience or familiarity with tools is an asset.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.

· Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems an asset.

· Familiarity with BMS/Monitoring tools is an asset.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Certification for driving lifts.

· Authorized to work in Canada.

· Fluency in French and English.
